Gene Graph Viewer
A gene graph window is always good to have open while using
other components. It allows you to view the profiles of genes selected in other components, as well as browsing single genes of a particular dataset.
The most common use of the Gene Graph Viewer
- Open a gene graph window by clicking the
( Gene Graph ) button or selecting Methods | Charts | Gene Graph Viewer from the J-Express menu bar.
- Click the
( Shadow Unselected ) button. All gene profiles should now become
faint. When making selections in the table on the left or from other J-Express components you can see the expression
profiles of the selected genes in this window. The selected genes will be painted in black (or a group colour, if the gene is a member of any groups).
Plot Properties
- Right-clicking in the plot area will open a Plot Properties window. From here you can set a Chart Title, adjust the line thickness, background colours, chart size and more.
- Click Ok to see the effects in the plot
- Click Close to close the window
